Jennifer and Kevin McCoy, "Traffic," 2004
Highlight. Highilght. The McCoys have reconstructed sets from "Bonnie and Clyde," "The French Connection," "American Grafiti," and "week-end" using toy models, which are then projected on a screen. At first it seems like delightful miniaturism, but in fact, the McCoys are continuing years of work of deconstructing cinematic language, cataloging it - in this case via miniatures - and reconstructing it as a new plesurable experience. It's mesmerizing.
